The Museum begins on the ground floor of the Herrerías building. The first stage of the tour is subdivided into five thematic modules.
SHIPWRIGHTING
Shipwrighting is a trade that deals with the artisanal construction of wooden boats
MAGDALENA FRIGATE
Built in 1773 in the stands of Esteiro and which was shipwrecked by a storm in the Viveiro estuary
MOULD LOFT
Mould loft were intended to draw the full-scale lines of a ship and then build the templates
PROPULSION AREA
Room with different propulsion systems and demonstration of auxiliary equipment and services installed on ships.
FIRST FLOOR
The Temporary Exhibition Hall houses pictorial, photographic, and artistic exhibits on themes related to the sea.
NAVANTIA AREA
Room dedicated to the one hundred years of history of the Navantia shipyard
AIDS TO NAVIGATION
Light source together with an optical system and a turning mechanism, whose function is to guide sailors at night
SHIP TECHNOLOGY
Technology that was used in shipyards and ships until the second half of the 20th century.
