The Museum of Naval Construction of Ferrol, run by the EXPONAV Foundation, is the only one of its kind, making it the most important shipbuilding museum in Spain. All sorts of pieces related to this activity can be found among its collection, such as shipbuilding tools, propulsion systems, scale models and even the
remains of a sunken frigate from 1810.

All of it in a unique building as relevant as the collection itself, an 18th century blacksmith’s for the production of anchors and chains, among others, employing more than 140 workers at the time.

GROUND FLOOR

The Museum begins on the ground floor of the Herrerías building. The first stage of the tour is subdivided into five thematic modules.

The Temporary Exhibition Hall houses pictorial, photographic, and artistic exhibits on themes related to the sea.
